While this does not necessarily suggest a level playing field, it does make clear that, within the world of entrepreneurship, there is more room than ever for women spanning all vocational backgrounds and educational levels. According to American Express’s “2019 State of Women-Owned Businesses” report, the number of women-owned businesses grew 21% between 20, compared to 9% growth in businesses overall.
